Mariya Esparza M.S., SLP

Hello! I'm Mariya Esparza, a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and the founder of Lifts Every Voice. My goal is to help children and their families build meaningful communication skills that foster confidence, connection, and participation in everyday life.

My passion for communication began with a love of language and linguistics. I earned my bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics from UCLA and went on to earn my Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from NYU.

Throughout my 8 year years of experience, I have had the privilege of primarily working with children from 18 months through 18 years of age in both private practice and school-based settings. My clinical experience includes early intervention, speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language development, autism, social communication, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I especially enjoy helping children discover the communication methods that best support their participation and independence.

As an autistic clinician, I also bring a unique personal perspective to my work. This experience has deepened my commitment to providing neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based services that honor each child's individual communication style and abilities. I strive to create a welcoming environment where children and families feel respected, understood, and empowered.

I am currently continuing my higher education in early childhood education to further strengthen my ability to support young children during their most important years of both academic and communicative development.

Whether I am providing speech-language therapy, conducting a communication screening, consulting on AAC, or partnering with families to support communication at home, my approach is always individualized, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that communication is about connection, not just words.
