Summer Services

When school services pause, communication doesn’t.

July 1 - July 31

Summer Communication
Support

Summer break doesn't have to mean a break from communication growth. The Summer Communication Support program provides individualized speech and language therapy to help children maintain and strengthen their communication skills between school years.

For children who already receive school-based speech-language services through an IEP, therapy can be aligned with their current communication goals so they continue practicing important skills throughout the summer. Parents simply provide a copy of the most recent IEP and speech-language report prior to the first session.

Whether your child receives school speech services or you're simply looking for extra communication support over the summer, sessions are individualized to your child's strengths, needs, and family priorities.

When school starts again, services may end or transition into ongoing private therapy based on your family's goals.

Preschool Communication Readiness Screening

The Preschool Communication Readiness Screening is a seasonal, on-site service offered exclusively in July to preschools and daycare centers. This service is designed to support early identification of speech, language, and communication differences in young children prior to kindergarten entry.

During the screening visit, children are observed in their natural classroom environment to gather information about their communication, play, social interaction, and participation skills. This service is not a formal evaluation, but rather a developmental screening designed to identify children who may benefit from further speech and language assessment or early intervention services.

Educators receive practical, classroom-based recommendations that can be immediately implemented to support communication throughout the school day.
